We’ve been transfixed by the terrible news coming out of France over the past few days. On Sunday, during the solidarity rally for French victims of terror and intimidation, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas (who himself has a history of terrorism) made an appearance in the front row, along with leaders from around the world.
But Abbas, was a little different than the other people he marched with.
As rule, we try not to focus our ire on individuals, but in this case we have to make an exception for one of the worst haters of all time. To have a terrorist bully like Mahmoud Abbas at an anti-terrorism rally and for him to behave in such a disrespectful way defies explanation.
Here is the original photo so you can see it has not been tampered with in any way.
Abbas, you may recall, is currently the unelected “leader” of the Palestinian Authority. In his prior life as a terrorist, Abbas has been named as being involved in the 1972 massacre of Israeli Olympians in Munich. His Fatah terrorist group was responsible for hundreds of rocket attacks during the summer’s war that forced Neil Young to cancel his concert in Israel. His supporters call for boycott, divestment and sanctions against the only democracy in the Middle East (although hypocritically, Abbas himself is against the BDS movement). Oh and just for fun, he is also on record as blaming the Holocaust on the Jews.
The fact that a self-admitted bully, terrorist and anti-Semite was even at this rally was insulting enough. And for him to be grinning his way through it? Seriously?
So what do you think? Is this the most insensitive picture ever?
UPDATE: Rosanne Barr sure seems to think so…
